I thought this piece was very interesting. I have never really understood why people have little impulse tics, or how they worked. I was interesting to read about how people just can’t control these impulses. I can’t even imagine having this type of illness. I think a good support system is very important in a situation like this. Making fun and getting mad I feel cannot be an option. So when he was made fun of and when his teacher gave him a hard time, it made me really upset. Although I did think that some of the things that Mazer did were very strange, I still feel really bad for him overall. I really enjoyed reading this story!
